Born in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, the author had a desire to become an athlete since childhood, but never got independence and support from her family. But it is said “desires can never be locked in bars and cannot be held in chains”. She married a military man and still has a strong desire for physical fitness, even after becoming a mother of two children.
Presently, the author is director of Akhand-Bharat Defence Coaching and has always encouraged the youth to join Indian Defence Forces. She deeply studied the problems faced by youth in running who are acquiring training under her supervision and has made every possible effort in finding solutions. This book is a result of those efforts.
The author has gained a lot of motivation and inspiration from her husband, who has served at various positions as Commando Instructor in Indian Army and Haryana Police for ten years and brightened the future of numerous Army Soldiers and Police Personnel by imparting Commando Training. Today, her husband is an ADC-2 to the President of India because of his hard work, dedication and selfless service.

आज देश के अधिकतर युवा भारतीय सेना में सेवा करने का सपना देखते हैं परंतु उनमें से बहुत से युवाओं का यह सपना इसलिये चकनाचूर हो जाता है क्योंकि वे 1600 मीटर की दौड़ और सेना के लिये जरूरी शारीरिक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण नहीं कर पाते हैं। यह पुस्तक भारतीय सेना में भर्ती होने के लिये फिजीकल परीक्षा को आसानी से पास करने के लिए लिखी गयी है जिसको पढ़ने और अमल करने के बाद एक युवा को अपने सपने को साकार करने में सहायता मिलेगी। हालांकि यह पुस्तक एक सुझाव के तौर पर हैं।
इस पुस्तक में डायनामिक वार्म-अप, 1600 मीटर की दौड़, कूल-डाउन, बीम लगाने में सफलता, दौड़ में योग का महत्व, खुराक का सही प्लान, धावक की मालिश और पानी द्वारा स्वस्थ रहने के तरीके विस्तार से बताये गये हैं। अंत में दौड़ में सफलता प्राप्त करने के 51 रहस्य भी बताये गये हैं, जो ऐसी बातें हैं जो सफलता सुनिश्चित करतीं हैं, परंतु अधिकतर लोग उन पर ध्यान नहीं देते हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त यह पुस्तक किसी भी उम्र के लोग पढ़ सकते हैं, उनको भी अपना स्वास्थ्य सुधारने में निश्चित रूप से अत्यधिक लाभ प्राप्त होगा।
