ईस प्रेम कहानी में जो सबसे बडी समस्या है। वो है। वो भाषा को लेकर है। जहा हमारी नायिका [हिरोईन] शुद्ध हिन्दी भाषावाले राज्य, उत्तर प्रदेश [यु.पी.] से है। वही हमारा नायक [हिरो] तामिलनाडू का रहनेवाला है। एक उत्तर से तो दुसरा दक्षिण राज्य से जहां नायिका को हिन्दी तो आती है, पर तामील भाषा का थोडा भी ज्ञान नही और नायक को तामील तो आती है। पर हिन्दी भाषा से कोसों कोस दूर सोचो अगर ऐसे दो विपरीत राज्यवाले, दो विपरीत भाषाए बोलनेवाले अगर एक दुसरे को दिल दे बैठे तो? और दोनो में प्यार हो जाये तो सोचो फिर क्या होगा? वो दोनो अपनी भावनाए कैसे व्यक्त कर पायेंगे, क्या वो अपना प्यार अपनी भावनाए आँखों से व्यक्त करेंगे या आँखों से बया? या फिर प्यार उन्हे एक दुसरे की भाषा सिखनेपर मजबूर कर देगा? क्या समाज के ठेकेदार अमिरी गरीबी, दोनों के विपरीत भाषाओं को स्वीकार करेंगे? क्या इनका प्यार कामयाब होकर ये सदा सदा के लिये जीवनसाथी बन पायेंगे? यही सभी बातें कहानी को रोचक बनाती है।
