Chief Officer in Merchant NavySamsul Alam Khan joined the Merchant Navy in 2003 as a Deck Cadet. He progressed through the ranks and became a Chief Officer in 2013. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in March 2018 at the age of 32 and underwent Autologous Stem Cell Transplant for the same in October 2018.
