Sarvagy Shukl is an IIT Kanpur Graduate and an entrepreneur. After completing his B-tech and M-tech in Aerospace Engineering he worked with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for a couple of years. Sarvagy Shukl is an IIT Kanpur Graduate and an entrepreneur. After completing his B-tech and M-tech in Aerospace Engineering he worked with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for a couple of years. After quitting his job with HAL he did a start-up in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics. He has successfully done various projects for the defence sector in India. He is also involved in the development of polymeric materials for use in various industries and has also setup a manufacturing facility for the specialty polymers developed by him. 
 
He has a deep interest in the study of Indian history and during his study he became curious about the existence of the republics in ancient India but could never get a satisfactory answer as to why these republics could not continue to exist in the political framework of the country. He had a hypothesis that these ancient democracies in India were the source of inspiration for the Greeks who borrowed the idea and established the first democratic state in the west. It was for these ideas he decided to write ‘Ancients’ to add different perspective and create curiosity amongst the readers about the grey areas of the history of ancient India.
