Dr. Anant Manerikar
Dr Anant Manerikar is a retired professor of pharmacology. He has been writing poems in English and Marathi since high school. Over a period of forty years, he has written 250 poems in Marathi and more than 400 poems in English. His English poems have been posted on gotpoetry.com.
He hails from a small, beautiful hamlet, Maneri, Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra.
He studied at Nowrojee Wadia College in Pune for two years. Then joined Pancham Khemaraj Mahavidyalay, Sawantwadi for one yearand, then joined Seth G.S.Medical College Parel, Mumbai in 1975.
He published his English poems as an anthology in 2002. He also published a collection of Marathi poems in 2001.
The poet is a winner of Rashtriya Gaurav Award, Indira Gandhi Shiromani Award, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award and Best citizen of India Award.
