Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalAwakening the Hindu DNA is the spiritual successor to Postmodern History of Hindu Nationalists — Deepak Kamat’s acclaimed exploration of the philosophical and historical evolution of Hindu thought.
If the first book examined how Hindu identity was shaped and contested in the modern world, this one moves inward — revealing the living essence that sustains it. Divided into three transformative parts, Awakening the Hindu DNA guides readers from remembrance to realization:
72 Stories that stir the soul and reconnect the reader with the timeless rhythm of Dharma, devotion, and valor.
99 Essential Books that offer intellectual grounding and philosophical depth for every seeker of Hindu thought.
The Encyclopedia of Hindutva, a compendium of the ideas, narratives, traditions, and thinkers who shaped the Hindu worldview.
More than a book, this is a call to remembrance — to feel, know, and live the wisdom encoded within every Hindu. Awakening the Hindu DNA celebrates the vastness of our tradition while urging each reader to carry it consciously into the modern world.
“The purpose of life is to rediscover the divinity already within.” — Deepak Kamat

Deepak Kamat
Deepak Kamat (1974–2025) was a journalist by profession and a seeker by destiny — a man whose life bridged intellect, devotion, and the pursuit of truth. Beginning his career in reportage and public discourse, he evolved into one of the rare voices who could unite critical inquiry with deep spiritual conviction.
For over three decades, he immersed himself in the study and practice of Sanatan Dharma, Yoga, and Advaita Vedanta, exploring not only the philosophy of Hinduism but its lived experience. His approach was fearless yet compassionate — urging seekers to know and love God rather than fear or blindly follow.
His first book, Postmodern History of Hindu Nationalists, examined the historical and ideological landscape of modern Hindu thought, revealing his journalistic precision and intellectual courage. His second and final work, Awakening the Hindu DNA, completes that journey — turning inward to explore the eternal consciousness that sustains Hindu civilization.
After a transformative pilgrimage to the Kumbh Mela of 2025, Deepak-ji withdrew into deep sadhana, dedicating his remaining months to inner realization and the refinement of this final manuscript. His teachings, rooted in clarity and devotion, made complex truths accessible to ordinary readers while inspiring countless seekers toward self-discovery and fearless truth.
Though he has now journeyed to higher realms, Shri Deepak Kamat’s words continue to illuminate — bridging the worlds of cultural awakening and spiritual transcendence. Through his writings, the eternal Dharma finds new expression, and his light continues to guide those walking the path of remembrance and realization.
