Students do not understand the purpose of various exams. This book explains the purposes of assignments, mid exams, board exams and entrance tests. The necessity of entrance tests for students is brought out in this book. The requirement of multiple-choice questions in entrance tests (ET) is explained. The process of conducting ET is detailed. The various approaches available for preparing for ET and planning the time to prepare for ET is discussed. The Hall Ticket, Aadhar card/ID card etc., necessary for entry into exam hall are given.
The syllabus, questions and marks distribution, and exam pattern for State level and National Level ETs are tentatively given.
The change in the admission process in India from the 1950s onwards to the present day with ET is briefly explained.
The admission process after ET ranking, the various quota in admissions, the method of opting for Higher Educational Institutes (HEI) and courses are discussed. The factors to be looked into in selecting the HEI and the course are discussed.
