The author, Lydia Shirley Stephenson, M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., P.G.D.(ELT), is a first aid lecturer trained by St. John Ambulance. She has been giving First Aid training to the teachers and the students for more than two decades. A teacher by profession, she has authored three books titiled, "To the Budding Teachers", "Pep-Talk" and a heart moving Tamil short story "Porkalam-keemu-keepi" under her pen name Lia.
