Dr. Jose Kudakasseril is a scientist and a teacher. He took his doctoral degree from the University of New Hampshire, USA. His post doctoral research was on an antimalarial compound called Artemisinin which was done at University of Minnesota, USA. He has taught at various institutions such as Kenyon College, Ohio, USA and K.C College, Mumbai. He has worked at the Unilever Research Centre in Mumbai and at the Central Food Technological Research Institute in Mysore.
