Arunoday Sharma
Presently, Arunoday is working as an examining committee member of the ‘Censor Board of Film Certification’, Mumbai. In 2019 he was asked by CBFC to join them.
Due to his extensive exposure to cinema ‘Directorate of Film Festivals’ had invited him to be in the Jury of the ‘National Film Awards’, on three occasions; in 2011 (58th NFA), 2014 (61st NFA) and 2020 (67th NFA).
In 2017 Arunoday had the honour of receiving, ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award’, recommended by Sound Engineer’s Association, for ‘Life Time Achievement’.
He is a gold medallist in ‘Sound Recording & Engineering’ course (1972), FTII, Pune.
During college days he fell in love with Mirza Ghalib’s shayari. Later his obsessive reading habits helped him greatly to develop a flair for writing. He had started blogging in 2006 and gradually wrote hundreds of short stories and poems in English and in Hindi. He has penned an autobiographical Novella too.
Arunoday is a regular practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and Yoga. Not too long back he was a Karate and Tai chi student. He believes yoga and meditation are going to be the most essential requirements for human species to survive well in this new complex world.
