Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhat happens when divine wisdom meets the everyday moments of our lives?
In Light Upon Light: 40 Short Stories Inspired by the Qur’ān, Syed Akbar Hassan weaves together heart-touching fictional narratives that reflect the timeless guidance of the Qur’ān in the language of ordinary people.
Each story in this collection is inspired by a Qur’ānic verse and brings to life deeply human experiences—trials, sacrifices, awakenings, repentance, compassion, and quiet acts of faith. From humble farmers and resilient mothers to repentant CEOs and unseen healers, the characters in this book mirror us—flawed, searching, yet capable of grace.
With literary depth and emotional honesty, this book shows how the light of the Qur’ān is not distant or abstract—it is near, alive, and quietly working in the hearts of those who seek it.
Whether you are a regular reader of the Qur’ān, a seeker of meaning, or simply someone who loves thoughtful stories, Light Upon Light offers 40 opportunities to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
This is more than just a book—it is a companion on the path of faith and self-discovery.
