The debutant author Anju Bala was born and educated in Jammu and Kashmir. The young author, born in 1987, completed her masters in zoology from Jammu University in 2007. After working as an environmentalist and women rights activist, she joined Indian Army. She is married to Captain Gaganpreet Singh, her love from army days. The author has keen interests in spirituality and philosophy and is a active participant of activities concerning women rights and empowerment.
