Born in 1952 in Malaysia, her education in a very cosmopolitan society was a contrast to when, at the age of 18, she came to India to continue her academics at the St. Joseph’s Convent and the Patna Women's College. She says that the journey has given her a rich treasure trove of experiences. With an M.A. in English and a B. Ed degree, she picked up teaching as a vocation and has never regretted her choice. In fact, she says hers has been a learning experience while sailing through the ICSE, CBSE, and the IB curriculum, teaching in many schools. She is still teaching and says she wants to continue learning till someone tells her to ‘get off’.
