It is a part of project management in which software projects are planned, implemented, monitored, and controlled. Need for Software Project Management: Software is a non-physical product. Software development is a new stream in business and there is very little experience in building software products. Most of the software products are made to fit clients’ requirements. The most important is that the basic technology changes and advances so frequently and rapidly that experience of one product may not be applied to the other one. Such type of business and environmental constraints increase risk in software development hence it is essential to manage software projects efficiently. It is necessary for an organization to deliver quality products, keep the cost within the client’s budget constrain and deliver the project as per schedule. Hence in order, software project management is necessary to incorporate user requirements along with budget and time constraints.

Dr. Sourabh Singha Roy is Associate Professor of Gopal Narayan Singh University in the faculty of Management Studies in India. He did his PhD in Economics from reputed State Government University in West Bengal. He is also qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) examinations in Economics for Lectureship in Colleges and Universities in India conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India. He was also research scholar of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He is enriched with 21 years of Teaching and academic administration experience in India and abroad. He published numerous research articles in Scopus Indexed international journals. Currently his research interest areas are Foreign Direct Investment, Big Data Application in Business, predictive models in economics etc.
Dr.Rajesh Dey is presently working as Associate Professor, Faculty of Information Technology Gopal Narayan Singh University, Jamuhar, Sasaram, Bihar His area of research is on sign processing Internet of Things. Artificial Intelligence, Sensor Based System, Automation Design, Electric Vehicle,etc. He has published many indexed papers in Journals and in international conferences. He has 16+ years of experience in teaching in many Engineering Institutes and industries.
