Song of the Monk

Author Name: Rohit Dey | Format: Paperback | Genre : Philosophy | Other Details

Here is the corrected and enriched text:

"Spirituality does not teach one to walk a million miles; it only guides one to take the first step."

The quest to seek answers and to know the unknown has led the author of this book to embark on a journey that has traversed many sources, each of which has, in its own way, attempted to do the same. This book does not propose anything new. It is, rather, a sincere and humble effort to interpret and present the essence of ancient Indian wisdom about life and existence in simple, accessible, and living words, words that the ordinary reader, the busy professional, the questioning student, and the sincere seeker can receive and make their own.

The sole purpose of this endeavour is to emphasise one truth above all others: that spirituality is not a destination to be arrived at, nor a practice to be postponed to the final chapter of one's life. It is an approach, a way of seeing and of being, that has the power to make the whole of life beautiful, meaningful, and deeply fulfilling, if one can aspire to such an awakening as early as possible.

The primary focus of this book is to offer a foundational understanding of the works of Swami Vivekananda, explored through the lens of the four great yogas. Karma-Yoga is examined in the chapter titled The Way of Action. Bhakti-Yoga is explored in The Way of Love. Jnana-Yoga is illuminated in The Way of Knowledge. And Raja-Yoga is presented in The Way of Meditation.
