Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalSri Annamalai Swami (1906 – 1995) came to Bhagavan in 1928 at the age of 22 and served him devotedly for over 10 years, in a spirit of total surrender. In 1938 with Bhagavan’s blessings, he moved to a small room in Palakothu next to Ramanasramam, to live in solitude and pursue his sādhana. Through Bhagavan's grace and years of disciplined practice, Sri Annamalai Swami attained Self-realization. For the rest of his life, he continued to live in that same home, just as Bhagavan had instructed.
From 1980 onwards, small groups of spiritual seekers started to visit Sri Annamalai Swami to ask him questions about his Guru, Bhagavan’s teachings and how they helped him attain enlightenment. In response, Sri Annamalai Swami began to talk about his experiences, his practices and the methods that worked for him. Visitors were deeply impressed both by the quality of his teachings and by the aura of peace and authority that emanated from him.
The precious teachings presented in this book were recorded between March and October 1995, the last six months of Sri Annamalai Swami’s physical life. They reveal the devotion that Sri Annamalai Swami had towards Bhagavan and how he followed Bhagavan’s advice at every step, to finally attain the pinnacle of evolution.
