Sahidul Islam Choudhury
Sahidul Islam Choudhury is more than just a teacher. He is a mentor, a guide, and a dedicated social worker who believes in the power of education to change lives. A proud resident of Hailakandi, Assam, he began his journey there and completed his early education in his hometown. He studied Arts at N.C. College, Badarpur, before moving on to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for higher studies.
At AMU, he completed his B.A. Honours in English and explored subjects like Modern Indian History and Linguistics. In 2019, he earned his M.A. in English with first-class marks. The same year, he cleared the UGC NET exam for Assistant Professorship. in 2020 he did TEFL from Asian College of Teachers, New Delhi. He also qualified the Assam Higher Secondary(PGT) exam in 2021.
Sahidul now teaches English as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) at Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Silchar. His teaching is loved by students for its depth, clarity, and care.
He is also the editor of the SUCCESS GUIDEBOOK series for English Literature students of Assam University. These books are helping many students in their Four-Year UG Programme.
Sahidul guides students for CUET UG/PG and admission into top institutes like AMU and JMI. His support has helped many rural and underprivileged students reach their goals.
He is the founder of Udaan Education and Research Foundation—an NGO focused on education and social welfare. Through projects like Udaan Super 40, Project Ummed, Project Rahat, and Sir Syed Rural Library, he is spreading hope through learning. Campaigns like Books for All and Empowerment for All show his firm belief: education is a right, not a privilege.
Sahidul’s life and work continue to inspire young minds across Assam and beyond.
