Mallika Thoppay is an educator, writer and social advocate. An engineer by background, she is currently a volunteer English teacher to children in rural Karnataka. She believes in women empowerment and standing up against social injustices. She enjoys writing books that inspire social change and convey purposeful messages. Her debut book, Unfair & Lovely, is an effort to combat the issue of colourism in society.

Kavitha Amarnath is a digital artist who founded Zuggri, a boutique branding and illustration house. She has a specific interest in children's book illustrations, and this is her fourth book following on from "Why Can't I See God?", "Unfair and Lovely" and a Ramayana in Tamil.
