The Journey of a Soldier and a Seeker

Author Name: Parshuram Dadhich | Format: Paperback | Genre : Biographies & Autobiographies | Other Details

Some lives are lived loudly. Others live with quiet strength and leave the deepest mark.

This book traces the extraordinary journey of a man who began life in a small village and went on to serve the nation through some of its most defining moments. From the dust of rural India to the discipline of the Indian Army, from the wars of 1965 and 1971 to years of leadership on hostile frontiers, his life is a testament to courage shaped by humility.

But beyond the uniform lies a richer story, of a husband who took bold decisions with faith, a father who built futures through sacrifice, and a grandfather who rediscovered joy in the laughter of new generations. Each chapter reveals how values learned in hardship became guiding principles in the family, industry, and social service sectors.

Marked by near-death experiences, unshakeable belief in God, and a lifelong commitment to service, this memoir is not about heroics alone. It is about character.

This is a story for anyone who believes that real strength lies in discipline, real success in integrity, and real legacy in the lives we shape long after our own battles are fought.

Parshuram Dadhich

Born in a humble village and shaped by simple values, the author, Parshuram Dadhich, has lived a life guided by discipline, faith, and a commitment to service. He served for over two decades in the Indian Army, including active roles during the wars of 1965 and 1971, where leadership and courage were tested in the harshest conditions.

Following his retirement, he entered the civilian world, building an industrial venture before dedicating himself to social service. Through his work with NGOs and civic organisations, he focused on empowering rural communities, supporting veterans, and addressing everyday social challenges.

At home, he is known not for rank or title, but for warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength, as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. This book brings together the many roles he has lived, offering reflections on duty, resilience, and the belief that a life well-lived is one spent in service to others.
