AMIABLE AID FOUNDATION was started by Mr. Manekshaw. Despite being a physically challenged and visually impaired person, with indefatigable spirit, he remains moving force to lead his organisation to the service of excellence.
The highest civilian Award conferred to youth by the Government of India in recognition of the outstanding voluntary works rendered in the field of National development and social service is National Youth Award. Mr. Manekshaw received the award from His Excellency the President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
He is a recipient of SCROLL OF HONOUR.
He coordinated Guinness world record event of planting 2 54 464 saplings in 24 Hours on 1St – 2nd October 2005.
