Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalA brilliantly written fantasy fiction by the eleven year old Diya Goel. The story is part of a series called The Adventures on Doryu. Each episode is written by a young preteen writer.
Every episode is created based on a plot format that has been designed as a permernant fixture. Young writers are invited to write their own storyline around the goings-on, of the the planet Doryu.
It requires greater skill of then young writers, to be able to create an original story around a fixed framework. The young writers must add their own spin on the plot as well as introduce new characters and situations.
It is a first of a kind format that invites children to become creative writers. Currently there are several such stories written by children in the pipe line and Diya’s is the first one to be released.
Her story has all the bells and whistles of a classic fantasy illustrated book. There are dragons and shapeshifters, druids and flying mermaids. A raging battle of the sci-fi kind, fire breathing enemies and loyal friends. What more can a wide-eyed dreamer want ? A good story!

Diya Goel is a little girl in a hurry, her mind operates at warp speed. Her words often struggle to keep up.It is for this reason she often goes back to her writing to edit, and make sharper, more effective communication of her thoughts and ideas. Ever ready to explore new ideas and story lines, she revels in exploring the world of the written word. Diya Goel is a bright-eyed chatterbox who is ever ready, with a plot, a name, a new idea...stories seem to be on the tip of her tongue, all the time. She drinks information and it stays with her, until she knows what to do with it. So, it isn’t surprising that she is the first pre-teen to be invited to write an episode of The Adventures on Doryu!
Diya lives with her Parents in New Delhi and attends Shri Ram School at Vasant Vihar.
