Recent technological advances led to the development of very small and low-cost sensor devices with computational, processing, data storage and communicational capabilities. These devices, called wireless sensor nodes, when deployed in an area (indoors or outdoors) form a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The initial development of WSN was motivated by military applications such as enemy detection, battlefield surveillance, etc. As years went by, considerable amounts of research efforts have enabled the actual implementation and deployment of sensor networks tailored to the unique requirements of certain sensing and monitoring applications. Nowadays WSNs are a very promising tool of monitoring events and are used in many other fields, such as agriculture, environmental monitoring of air-water pollution, greenhouse, health monitoring, structural monitoring and more. Given the benefits offered by WSNs compared to wired networks, such as, simple deployment, low installation cost, lack of cabling, and high mobility, WSNs present an appealing technology as a smart infrastructure for building and factory automation, and process control applications.

Dr. Manish Gupta holds a Ph.D. degree from MNNIT, Allahabad and M.Tech. from YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad. He is currently working as Associate Professor in Moradabad Institute of Technology, Moradabad affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul kalam Technical University, Lucknow. His area of research includes speech signal processing, image processing, machine learning, mobile ad hoc network and IOT. He is a member of CSI, ISTE and IFERP.
Mr. Deepak Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology and IQAC Coordinator in Jagannath International Management School, New Delhi. He obtained his M.Tech(CS) from Jagannath University, Jaipur and MCA from Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak. He is also pursuing Ph.D. from Jagannath University, Jaipur. He is having more than 15 years of experience in academics and industry.
Ms. Neha Gupta holds M.Tech. degree from IFTM University Moradabad and B.Tech from CET affiliated to UPTU Lucknow. She is currently working as Assistant Professor in Moradabad Institute of Technology, Moradabad affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Her area of research includes image processing, visual cryptography, machine learning and IOT.
Dr. Naresh Kumar holds a Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and M.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering) degree from YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad. He is currently working at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, New Delhi where he is working as an associate professor.
