SHABINA FATMA is the author of this book. She is daughter of Dr. Syed Sarfaraz Ahmad , Professor, Ranchi University, Ranchi and Mahe Nuzhat. She was born and brought up in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. She is a forensic researcher and holds an M.Sc Forensic Science degree from Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University, Jharkhand, India.
She is certified field forensic expert. She is also trained in utility of Forensic science in policing and certified cyber forensic expert. She is certified in toxicology, narcotics, general chemistry and explosive sections by The Directorate of Forensic Science and Laboratory, Jharkhand. She is certified fingerprint expert by Fingerprint Bureau, CID, Jharkhand and has knowledge on different physical and chemical methods of development of fingerprints, matching and comparison of fingerprints, furnishing report and expert opinion and basics of NAFIS.
She has completed senior secondary from Loreto Convent, Ranchi and 10th from St. Anne's Convent, Ranchi .She is gold medalist at both bachelor in forensic science and masters in forensic science level. She has experiences in analyzing various crime scenes, developing fingerprints and has also performed handwriting analysis and behavioural analysis of eminent personalities including chief minister of Jharkhand. Her basic objective in writing “A Notebook of Forensic Science: Crime scene to Courtroom ”, is to make forensic science understandable and meaningful to the reader.
She has authored more than three books covering a variety of subjects. She also owns an educational YouTube channel namely “Shabina Fatma” and has teaching experience of more than 5 years. She is also interested in writing poems, stories etc.
