Action research is a true reflection of its name. Primarily intended to achieve both action and research at the same time. It is critically suitable for educational situations where teachers wish to bring about action in the form of change or improvement in their teaching and at the same time develop an understanding which informs change and is an addition to what is known. Research that uses “a spiral step,” each of which is “composed of a circle of planning, action and fact-finding about the result of the action”.
All of these entails and ensures a scaffolding approach to the teachers and anyone involved with the education system, in getting a basic but good hold of introduction of research gradually in the teaching-learning process. The aim of the book is to enhance teachers’ abilities and bring about improvement in the processes involved.
This book is a brief collection of action researches conducted which are compiled and presented here that might serve as a stepping stone for readers in the world of research.
