Shruti's unadvertised creative blog, primarily with her poetry, has been online for more than a decade at Junglessence on blogspot, where she signs off as Quill-o-the-Wisp when she feels like. Shruti's politico-legal work has spanned decades, and has touched the lives of many. She is a member of the Indian National Congress party, and was the INC's parliamentary candidate from the Araku Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh for the 2019 general elections.
