Dr. R Kumar, completed his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication engineering from Madras university in 1991, M.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from Anna university in 1994 and PhD from National Institute of Technology-Trichy in 2007.He worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at National Institute of Technology-Trichy from 1996 to 2001 and as a Senior Lecturer in the same Department of National Institute of Technology-Trichy from 2001 to 2006. He subsequently joined Wipro Technologies Chennai and worked as a Consultant from 2006 to 2009 and served as a Senior Consultant from 2009 to 2016.
He is currently working as Professor in the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Dean (Faculty Welfare) and Dean (Academic) in National Institute of Technology Nagaland, India since 2016. His areas of interest include Linux System Programming, MEMS, Sensors and Actuators, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Internet of Things and Embedded Systems Design.
