Dr. Pallavi Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, India.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Subharti Dental College (where she received the gold medal and topped the University), Dr. Sharma obtained a Master of Dental Surgery degree from KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum, India specializing in Periodontology.
She is the recipient of the prestigious R.S. Umre Award given for excellence in education and amongst other achievements, has also been recognized by the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry for her academic achievements. Dr. Pallavi Sharma was also a part of an exchange program between her Dental School and the School of Dental Medicine, Tufts University, Boston.
She is a member of the ISP and International Academy of Periodontology and has publications in various national and international journals including FDI’s International Dental Journal to her credit. She has been invited as a speaker in the BIT’s 3rd Annual World Congress of Oral and Dental Medicine held in Taiwan and various other national platforms. Dr. Sharma is also a reviewer of various national and international journals as well as of Carranza's Clinical Periodontology, 2nd South Asia Edition and Nayak’s Textbook of Periodontology & Oral Implantology, 2nd edition. She is also an Editorial Board member of two international journals.
