Vortex Tube refrigeration system can generate instant cooling, unlike conventional refrigeration systems (vapour compression and vapour absorption systems). The working fluid used can be simply compressed air. Internal flow physics of such simple system is very complicated due to turbulent, swirling flow inside the vortex tube.

Dr. Hitesh Thakare has completed M. Tech. and Ph.D. from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat. He is also a BEE Certified Energy Auditor (All India Rank 4 in 2017 examination). He has provided his consultancy services in Energy Audit to various organizations. Dr. Hitesh Thakare has published several research papers in International Journals and conferences. He has 13 Years of Teaching experience. He has received more than 300 citations for his research papers. His research interests are CFD, Energy & Refrigeration systems.

Dr. Ashok Parekh has completed Ph.D. from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat. He is working as Associate Professor at S.V.N.I.T. Surat. Four candidates have completed Ph.D. under his able guidance. He has been granted Research Grant worth more than 40 Lakhs for various research projects in the domain of Refrigeration. One of the M. Tech. Thesis guided by him has been awarded as Best Thesis Award by ISHRAE. He has more than 500 Citations for his research papers. His research interests are Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Transfer.
