It discusses the reasons, signs, and many hypotheses related to climate change and highlights the groups working to address this worldwide problem. It also provides a thorough examination of the natural catastrophes that affect Tamil Nadu, including their effects on infrastructure, livelihoods, biodiversity, and the legal issues and adaptation plans that are related to these occurrences. It also covers climate finance prospects and constraints, the policy for carbon credits.

Dr. Yasodharan Suresh
Dr. Yasodharan Suresh, Assistant Professor in Geography got his graduation in Geography from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore and his Masters and M.Phil degree from the University of Madras, Chennai. He was awarded a Ph.D by the Bharathidasan University, Trichy. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Madras. He was a rank holder in undergraduate and post-graduate studies. In the year 2008, he qualified State Eligible Test (SET) in Geography. He gained wide experience in GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing, Lidar and Photogrammetry by working in many projects conducted by the Department of Remote Sensing, Anna University, Chennai, DSM Soft Pvt. Ltd. Trichy, and Geofiny Technologies for a period of seven years. His travel and research in the rugged terrains of the Eastern Himalayas has yielded him rich knowledge. His research interests was in Water Resource Management, Urban Studies, Disaster Studies and Coastal Management. Published many research articles and was the author and reviewer for SCERT Tamil Nadu Geography Textbooks, Wrote Geography Books for Tamil Nadu Open University and University of Madras. Published Edited Book entitled “Disaster Management: Issues and Challenges”. Conducted Training Programme for Government Officials regarding Geospatial Technology. Received Shri C.D.S Chetti Excellence Award for Outstanding Professor of MCC (Male) for the Academic Year 2019-2020.
