Dr. Mathew John
Dr. Mathew John, trained in endocrinology from King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, is experienced in the treatment of all forms of endocrine disorders and diabetes. He was a faculty at the Department of Endocrinology, Christian Medical College, Vellore, before moving to Trivandrum. He is keenly interested in growth hormone therapy and other forms of hormone replacement therapy. He is certified in bone densitometry by International Osteoporosis Foundation and has attended training in thyroid ultrasound organized by the Endocrine Society (Boston). He is involved in researching new molecules in osteoporosis, diabetes and growth hormone insufficiency. He is a member of Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society of India (ESI), Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society (APPES), Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ISBMR). He is on the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
He is a key opinion leader in diabetes and endocrinology and regularly lectures at state and national conferences. He has presented at EASD 2015 in Stockholm and RSSDI 2015 in Lucknow. Dr. Mathew John has organised the annual meeting of the Endocrine Society of India in 2017 in Trivandrum.
