Ph.D. Palavesakrishnan received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in Commerce from Pure Yoan College, Palayankota, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and M.Phil. in Commerce from Satakatullah Appa College (Thannachi). He later obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Education from St. Joseph's College of Education, Kadampodubhava and Master's Degree in Education from St. John's College of Education, Tamil Nadu Teachers University, Veeravanallur.
