The book, Industrial Electrical Systems (IES), focuses on electrical components used in residential, commercial, lighting, and automation systems. To provide a thorough treatment of the topic IES for both electrical and non-electrical students pursuing a degree or diploma. The book is divided into six chapters. The first chapter of this book discusses electrical components for LT wiring. It provides a summary of protection components such as MCB, MCCB, ELCB, MPCB, and so on. Residential and commercial electrical systems are covered in the second chapter. This book's second chapter elaborates on commercial installation earthing methods. The lightning scheme is also explained in the second chapter.
The requirements of lighting systems are explained in Chapter 3 of this book. Various luminaries, such as CFLs, incandescent lamps, and LEDs, are discussed in the same chapter. All these elements are required to structure the electrical substation, including motors, loads, switchgear systems, transformers, and lightning protection systems. The specifics of these elements are covered in the fourth chapter.
