Sreeram T Veeraraghavan
Sreeram graduated with a Master’s in Wood Science & Technology from University of California Berkeley in 1995 with a near perfect GPA of 3.97 out of 4.0. He carried four scholarships/fellowships while at Berkeley, including the Regent’s Fellowship.
Starting off as a manufacturing engineer, facilitating production of high precision guitars in Los Angeles, Sreeram rose quickly to leadership roles in furniture and timber processing companies in nine countries in the world from United States to the Middle East and Asia. Sreeram has experience working with more than 360 commercial species of timber during his career spanning 25 years across the planet.
Sreeram’s expertise in the furniture industry pans the entire supply chain from trees to consumer - from sustainable harvesting of timber from forests and plantations, logistics and supply chain, primary processing of lumber, timber composites, secondary processing and all the way to the global consumer through exports, offline retail and online stores. Sreeram’s operations bandwidth extends from assessment of timber stands and concessions to running shop floor operations and upto sitting in boards of companies advising billionaires who choose to enter this industry. A thoroughbred engineer, his furniture design expertise extends from the custom shop to 3-D modeling and high volume 24-Axis CNC multi-head machines from around the world. A passionate Lean Manufacturing professional and Six Sigma Champion, Sreeram has translated his knowledge and expertise to rapidly scale up businesses and forge tangible business results across the planet.
