A Double Gold Medalist at UG and PG, Dr. Subhasshri. R did her UG - BA Functional English at Bharathidasan Govt. College for Women (Autonomous), Puducherry and PG - MA English, from Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for PG Studies (Autonomous), Puducherry. She has also qualified the SET and NET examinations. She earned her PhD in 2014 and her doctoral thesis was "Through the Gynocritical Lens: Feminist Consciousness in American Women's Pulitzer Prize Plays" Her areas of specialization include American Drama, Women's Writing, Mass Communication and Journalism, Testing of English language and Literature For Competitive Examinations, and Research Methodology.
In addition to these, she has completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching of English (PGCTE) from English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. Also, her passion for French made her to complete Diplôme Supérior in French from Alliance Française de Pondichéry. At present, she is working as Assistant Professor of English in her own alma mater, Bharathidasan Govt. College for Women, Puducherry since 2018. She has published a monograph, published nearly several articles in reputed journals and conference proceedings. At the same time, she also chaired sessions and delivered invited lectures at national and international conferences and seminars. Her motto is "Reading for Life" and "UbU" (Unique but United). Above all, she is an avid reader and a quiz enthusiast, who wishes to develop competitive spirit and creative spark among her young learners.
