Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalSharifa has a beautiful childhood at the hands of loving parents. Married to Abdullah and blessed with an emotionally intelligent son, Iqbal, Sharifa has to cope with many challenges: between her husband’s apathy and her sister-in-law’s mindless behavior. And yet, Sharifa holds her own, supporting her near and dear ones with unparalleled devotion.
Iqbal and Tabassum are the best of friends. The folly of youth makes them see each other in ways different from what their families intend for them, and their choices are disregarded no matter how much they try. Iqbal and Tabassum make difficult choices to let go of their own desires in the larger scheme of things.
Life comes a full circle with time, and the house of cards that once stood upright is restacked after a round of shuffling.
Turab
Brought up in India in a middle-class family, the author graduated in engineering and worked as a management executive, finally retiring in 2015 as a director.
Though reading is his leading hobby, he always had a keen desire to write. While he was in the USA in the year 2005, he participated in a poetry competition and was acknowledged by the authorities. His poem Extra Miles appeared in a coffee-book.
His desire to write finally took form in April 2015 when, after retirement, he attended a seminar on “Sub-Conscious Mind” conducted in Mumbai by Dr Sunil Parekh. He was asked to set a goal and achieve it in the decided timeframe. His 50th wedding anniversary was due in Nov 2015, so he thought of writing a book and present it to his wife. Tabassum Ka Iqbal is the result of that desire and commitment.
