The novel is a sequel to the Godfather Trilogy. It depicts the chronicle of the notorious Corleone Family as a metaphor for capitalism in America. In other words, the novel aims to shed light on the ascent of a new underworld figure, who is the product of the tumultuous events that took place and drastically changed the world we live in throughout the past three decades in terms of the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Gulf War, the September 11 attacks, and the invasion of Iraq. The Godfather IV portrays the rise of Robert Corleone (the protagonist) to power, as well as the remarkable transformations in his volatile life; from a decent, warmhearted young man, a brilliantly preeminent student, to a brutish streetfighter, and a coldblooded murderer, who eventually becomes the head of the most powerful mafia family in the whole world.

My name is Ali Zohdi, I was born in Cairo, Egypt on August 10, 1985. I have lived all my life in Egypt. As an avid fan of English literature, I decided to pursue my undergraduate studies in the field of languages at MSA University. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in spring 2009. The reason behind this prolongation is that I transferred from the School of Business to join the Faculty of Languages in spring 2005. This transference was spurred on account of my undying fondness for English literature. Despite the fact that this transference delayed my graduation for a couple of years, the outcome of this action in terms of the experience, as well as the knowledge I gained has left an indelible imprint on my life... With the passage of time, I felt that enhancing my knowledge in order to be capable of competing in nowadays insanely competitive market was an imperative matter. Therefore, I decided to further my academic studies by enrolling in the master’s program in the field of TV & Digital Journalism at the American University in Cairo, and from which I obtained my master’s degree in spring 2014 with high honors (Magna Cum Laude).
I currently hold the position of Business Development Manager at El Sastre for menswear since July 2017, but my unrelenting penchant for writing has never dwindled over the years. As a matter of fact, it kept intensifying until it became a roaring blaze that desperately seeks the combustible interest of a voracious reader. A voracious reader, who can, and hopefully will appreciate the tremendous efforts behind this work of mine that took five years from my life.
