The history of India is not known to the present generations. Our present generations are not aware of the national symbols. The artificial intelligence technology did not write the national anthem or it did not design the national flag.
There was a lot of struggle, pain, and sacrifice involved in achieving independence. It is important for the youth of today to learn about the rich history and heritage of their country in order to appreciate the sacrifices made by their ancestors to make us live happily today with freedom of speech and expression.
By understanding the struggles of the past, the youth can also be inspired to contribute positively towards the future of their nation. Learning about the sacrifices made during India's fight for independence can instill a sense of pride and responsibility in the younger generation.
The purpose of compiling this book is to give clarity to the present and future generations about the Indian national flag and who designed it in a simple language.
GHANTASALA GOPIKRISHNA
The author is the third son of a bank employee, Late GV Narasimham, and a housewife, Seetha Maha Lakshmi, who is the only daughter of Pingali Venkaiah, architect of the Indian national flag.
The author started his career as an associate editor of a Telugu political magazine and worked for six years until 1984. Later, he went to the UAE and worked in various positions in marketing and construction domains for ten years. He returned to India in 1994 to continue in marketing and skill training until 2019 in a senior position. He took his retirement.
