Ketaki Mazumdar
Ketaki Mazumdar is a poet and a dreamer.
Born in Kolkata, she did her schooling and college at Loreto House. She began writing poetry at the age of 8 and her poems were published in magazines, while she was still a teenager.
She moved to Mumbai after her marriage. Her career as an educationist spanned 35 years, in three premier institutions. During her tenure at The Cathedral and John Connon School, she received the National Award for “Excellence in Teaching”, from the then President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in the year 2002.
Ketaki is now retired and indulges in her passion for writing poetry, gardening ad authoring children’s books. She is a gentle, sensitive and free-thinking person and loves the rhythm of Nature, Poetry and Life and delving into the Unknown.
She is a prolific writer and has contributed to many poetry sites and anthologies.
Her poems have been acknowledged warmly, both in India and abroad.
She has created a boutique book,” Path of a Wanderer”, for her friends and this is her second collection of poems, “Woodsmoke and Embers.”
Ketaki enjoys doing poetry readings and continues to transform lives through her writings.
