Lathish Shankar, 46, is a native of Gonikoppal in Karnataka's Kodagu district. Married, lives with his parents, wife, and a seven-year-old daughter.
He began teaching in 1998 and has now been a teacher for 25 years. He has served as a teacher, Vice Principal, Principal, Freelance Educator, and Resource Person for the CBSE board. He has trained numerous teachers in the module "Classroom Management." He has completed Prospective Resource Person Training for the module 'Moral Values and Integrity among Students.
He worked in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana as a teacher, a Voice and Accent Trainer, and a Communicative English Faculty, in addition to being a Faculty Coordinator. His life experiences, as well as his passion of reading and learning, prompted him to write his first nonfiction book.
He wrote nine fiction books of the genre paranormal, horror, mystery thrillers in English, Malayalam and Hindi. Also, his English novels are translated into 7 foreign languages that include Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Greek, and Afrikaans, and he rose to prominence in the literature world. He was interviewed three different times by a UK radio station, literary blogs and channels in France, Nigeria, and Japan, regarding his writings.
Aside from teaching, he is a talented chess player and musician. He can be heard on the violin, mandolin, harmonium, guitar, keyboard, and piano. He also teaches music, creative writing, and is a chess coach for beginners.
Hopefully, his first nonfiction book will serve as a platform for other successful endeavours in the future.
