DIGNITY DOES MATTERS....

by Sheena

Samar walked down in the corridor of his huge bungalow switching off every light that was lighted up....he walked down in that solitude of loneliness and anxiety which had bounded him in a shell from which he couldn’t get out.... EVER....walking down the aisle passing by the narrow couches placed in a different fashion....covered with luxurious cushions over it made him remember the nocturnal memories of his dark past which was full of enjoyment, he was someone who enjoyed living...but today he is just a mere soul....alone with no emotions left with it even to squeeze out from his lifeless soul....he looked at the whole of the hall room carefully...distinguishing each and every object carefully...scrutinizing each and every small detail about the whole room and later walked towards his room...to spend another night in deep thoughts of HER....

He went inside and dropped his soul over his cosy bed and soon dozed off to sleep...another night when he is again alone...without her.....another dark night when she was near him only in his dreams....the night went out and with it his daily busy schedule started....going to office, being busy all day surrounded between files, deals, contracts and what not...as though there was nothing left with him instead of spending his day and half of the night in his cabin....

SAMAR’S POV....

I walked towards the large glass pane which clearly showcased my own figure over there...it showed ME...the real me...the person who was at so many faults...the person who destroyed his own world...the person who was the only one to be blamed for his own destruction.....I was the only one who destroyed everything that was with me....and now when everything is gone...GONE AWAY from me it’s making me suffocate to the core of my heart....I wanted to bring her back in my life...but I also know that it’s too late for that....she moved far away from me......

He was busy with her photo in his hand when a sudden knock at the door disturbed him and he moved his gaze towards the door fixing his gaze over there to watch who is was at his door....

“May I come in Samar??” a male voice disturbed him from his thoughts and he instantly placed the photo back in his pocket hastily yet gently...

“Yeah Sure Rahul...you don’t need to ask for my permission to get in buddy...” he said with a smile going towards him...

“Hmm....actually I have something important to make you know....” he said stammering and fixing his stern gaze somewhere at infinity out of his glass window...

“And.....what’s that?” Samar asked anxiously...

Rahul took a deep sigh and started what he had to speak up to him....

“Dude...Kashish...” he said and stopped to look at him...his reaction....

He felt his head spinning just at her name...he frizzed till his legs...he didn’t expect to hear her name again but Rahul did it today...his curiosity was rising with every second that passed by...

“What Kashish Rahul?” he asked curious...shaking him...

“Kashish is here Samar....” he said and stopped...

He didn’t know how to react to the sudden situation that he was bound to face by his screwing destiny...he just stood there staring at Rahul blankly....he didn’t even utter a word listening to what he just said...all he could do was to go back 3 years ago to the same point of time in the past when he met HER for the first time.....

It was a cold wintry morning of Dehradun when he was busy with a pile of books to be submitted at the library that day itself...he didn't complete any one of them though still...the fear of paying a fine led him towards the library..the place he rarely visits....the place which pulls the COOL GUY SAMAR towards it only at the time of the semester exams and since it was the last year of his time at college he knew well that he needs to be at the top 20 students at least...

He went inside the library looking around the crowed of students making a long queue at the counter and adjusted his books at a position and went further towards the librarian....

"Excuse me..." he heard a feminine voice distracting him when he was just about to be near the librarian for returning the books he had that was really bothering him since a long long time....

He turned his gaze towards the lady standing at his back....he was in raptures finding her in front of him...he didn't knew who she was...he didn't even know what made him stare at her blankly....he was mesmerized by the angelic grace she threw at him...he din't utter a single word but just kept adoring her angelic beauty....she was just an angel for him...a girl who was beyond imagination...he carefully scrutinised her lissom figure...her long flowing black hairs messed up in a pony tail a little high up...her angelic eyes which spoke so much to him even though she didn't tell him anything other than just two words...he was just lost in her....he was mesmerised in her radiating beauty when she moved her hand in front of his eyes....bringing him back to the real world...

"Hey..." she spoke again...

"Ohh...yeah...yes...." he sounded confused....

"Can you please help me get that book from the top most shelf.." she asked politely with her cute voice...

"Ohh...sure.." he smiled and was happy that he could help her...he gave her the book and she dissipated with it with her sweet smile pasted over her face...

He couldn't remove her though right from the very time he saw her for the first time.....she was there in his mind 24*7....till the present time when she isn't with him...with the passing of time they became good friends...and thus their relationship changed from being BEST FRIENDS to LOVERS....

They passed 3 years of being together happily until he lost her....and she was gone away from him forever....he couldn't beleive that this would really happen...he beleived that no matter what she was never going to leave him whatever may be the situation....he knew that she was madly in love with him...and he knew that it won't change ever...but time changes and with it she too made up her mind to go away from him as much as she could....

His over possesive nature and his doubts killed her emotionns for him...he hurted her to the core of the heart...she didn't ever think that just a simple intro at the college library would lead her to be with him...but what he did was worst...she didn't thought in her wildest dreams that his love would ever turn out to be wild...she didn't know tht his sweet love would harm her to that extent that she would lose her dignity as a women...

He was back to the real world ruminating through his past deeds and moved towards the window while a drop of tear slipped down his right eye marking a faint mark over his cheeks....

"I want her back Rahul..." he said after a long break of painful silence...his voice was showed the regret he had of losing his love forever...but he also knew that it was too late now still he had a false hope of getting his love back...and this time he was pretty sure that he would make it to her though the time went away like sqirrels over trees...he still knew that his one try could make her come back to him...

"Really...but how?" Rahul asked surprised as from the last 3 years he didn't find him in such a condition...

"I'll...just message me the address..." he said curtly and walked away leaving him behind...

It was 7 past 15 minutes when he got Rahul's text and he cwas clear in his mind that what he have to do now...he pulled over his black shirt over his pale and weak body with the nlue denims and hurriedly walked towards the address assinged to him...he was conscious about his looks...though he was not the same old stud of college days that she met at the library still he was sure that she would indentify him...his hands were cold with just the mere thought of meeting her after a long time...his six sense told him that he was near to the address where his heartbeat resided...

He parked his car near the parking lodge and took baby steps near the main gate of her apartment....he didn't know what he would he place as a note of apology before her after what he did...his heart was racing against every second that the clock made...he was inally near at her main door and she was just afeild apart from him...he took a deep breath and finally rang the bell....his heart started to skip alternate beats at a time...he could feel his ecstacy rising up at the pass of every single second...and at the eleventh hour finally he found her standing right at the door step...in front of him...with the same glow over her face...with the same radiance in her beauty...just that cute smile was lacking over her glowing face....

"U...." she asked astound on seeing him over there after a long time...

He had a suddenfeeling of deja vu after seeing her after a long time...he remembered his first meeting at the library that made him fall for her really hard right at that point of time....

"Yes me...may I please have a word with you..." he asked stammering...

"Yeah...come in..." she said and let him in....

he walked inside and settled him in her couch she led him too....he looked around the house furnished with luxurious furnituers and other stuffs...he got to know that she even completed her dream of weaving designs.....she was a successful designer...just the way she had dreat of...he was busy gazing around the hall when her voice disturbed him...

"How come you are here..." she asked straight away...

"Umm...hmm actually..." he was about to utter something when she interrupted him and said...

"If you are here to tell sorry then it's not needed you may leave..." she said curtly....

"Kashish, not this time..." she said standing up from his place fixing his gaze right at him gripping her feeble wrist tight...

"U are hurting me Samar...just the way you did 3 years back...." she said pulling herself away from him...

She reminded him of his mistake once again...he came to know what he was doing 3 years back were the dirty tricks of his evil mind which overpowered him over his love he had for her, he was lost somewhere in between his over possesive nature and between all these he lost her forever....

He went down on his knees right in front of his princess and started speaking...

"Baby, I know what i did was wrong...I hurted you to the extreme point of tolerance...I hurted the dignity of a women...I abused you...harmed you...please forgive me Kshish...I was lost in your love...I was overpowered in my anger, m sorry to the core..." he said and looked towards her with eyes full of hopes of her acceptance of his apology...

She just looked serene...just the way she always appeared to be...she didn't have to say anything to him...she knew that he was really sorry for whatever he did to her but just for his love she wasn't able to forget what really happened with her...how he treated her...how he hurt her dignity as a women...how he abused her mentally and physically...she just faked a smile ruminating those painful days she passed weeping badly over her bed and said...

"It's too late Samar....You didn't hurt just my self respect...but you were the reason of hurting the dignity of the zillions of people who treat women as a toy...I am no one among them Samar...you remembered every single thing other than the painful scars you gave me for a life time...you are still mistaken by your mind to be in love Samar...it's just the need which pulled you towards me after such a long time.....you may leave Samar..." she said and turned her head away from him when a tear trickled down her soft rosy cheeks thinking of those dark nights when he killed her soul...that dark night when the animal in him overpowered his humanity tearing her up into millions of unbreakable pieces...she remembered how his animality killed every inch of emotions within her...when he killed her soul...how could she forgive such a person who didn't even respected her...how could she ever think of forgiving the guy who treated her just as a toy in his hands...how could she forgive the one whose love was nothing but just a drop of it which she had mistaken to be love...how could she????......

P.S- DIGNITY of a women is more important...be with the one who knows to respect WOMEN rather than treating them just as a toy which they use to play when they need and later throw them away from their life after they are satisfied with their own needs...that's not true love for which people find for...SELF RESPECT is more important for every single girl out there...know how to protect it...
