A Conversation that I heard on March 20,2013 - World Sparrow Day !!

I still remember the days when my mom used to feed me food, with the sparrows roaming here and there in the terrace.
They were always happy in winging and singing. They had always been around me ,during my childhood luncheons.


After a long long time, I happened to see these cuties during my visit to my granny's home.

They were playing and talking something. I started to hear.

Baby Bird asked the Mamma Bird, ‘Mom, are we like these humans, living separately from their kith & kin ..if not where are ours?’

'Baby, we are not like humans. But your grandpa said to me,
that we used to live together, but long before,untill the evolution of the so called technology, especially cell phone towers,
which the humans invented. I don’t know the exact reason for the decrease in our population, maybe we are the weakest.'

Are they selfish, mom?

'I think so dear. They have this gift of sixth sense, which they are not using to help all the other species, but to protect their race alone.
They are asking our mother nature everything and I fear at some point of time, she will not have anything to give it to us.'

A good old man named Charles Darwin ,said to the world, the concept of 'Survival of the fittest'.

What is that mom?

'It means, the strongest species will survive suppressing the weaker. My forefathers said, once this earth was dominated by reptiles, then fishes, then dinosaurs.
But at those times the earth was wealthy enough to provide all the food and comforts needed for the survival, but after the evolution of the humans,
a revolution took place. I am sure that someday this will end, not because of other species, but among themselves.'

I didn’t get u mom?

'These humans, have been separated by nations,races,languages etc,so the theory of 'Survival of the fittest’, has been shifted from 'Humans VS all the other species' to
'Humans VS Humans’. They have been fighting wars all these centuries. I fear that if there is another war, they not only destroy themselves, but the entire world.'

How mean of them mother. How mean!! I think they don’t have any rights to destroy this earth and you say that these humans still have SIX SENSES!! So we all will die if they fight again?

Ya,there is something called atom bomb, and it has the potential to destroy the whole world.

Two humans were talking,

A:You know when is the world sparrow day?

B:Ya,March 20.And,the first World Sparrow Day was celebrated on March 20, 2010 across the globe to celebrate the beauty of the house sparrow.

Mamma bird laughed at the conversation.

The baby bird without knowing what was happening around her asked her mom,

'Why are you laughing mom?'

These days HUMANS concern more for the ANGRY BIRDS than for the REAL BIRDS. And this is the world that we are living!!

And I was numb after she made her last statement!!
