जब से पृथ्वी पर मानव की उत्पत्ति हुई है तब से मानव के मन मे अपने होने के कारण को लेकर अलग अलग विचार उठते रहे है। विभिन्न धर्मो और दर्शनों की उत्पत्ति का एकमात्र कारण भी मानव मन की खुद को जानने की जिज्ञासा ही है। मानव मस्तिष्क दुनिया का सबसे रहस्यमयी यंत्र है जिस को पूरी तरह समझना किसी के बस की बात नही, फिर भी विज्ञान अपने तरीके से इसकी थाह पाने में अनवरत लगा हुआ है। प्राचीन भारतीय मनीषा विशेषकर योग की परंपरा ने मानव की स्वयं की खोज के लिए ध्यान की 112 विधियों का आविष्कार किया था, जो सभी अलग अलग रास्ते थे अपने अस्तित्व के मूल को जानने के जिसे आत्मा कह कर संबोधित किया जाता है। अद्वैतवाद के अनुसार मैं ही परमात्मा हूँ यानी अहम्ब्रह्मास्मि या तत्त्वमसि अर्थात तू ही परमात्मा है इस का अर्थ प्राणिमात्र में ईश्वर के दर्शन, दुनिया मे इस विचार से ऊंचा कोई आध्यात्मिक विचार नही है। जब कोई व्यक्ति इस स्थित में आ जाता है तो उसे बुद्ध या जीवन्मुक्त कहते है, यही आध्यात्मिक जीवन का सर्वोच्च लक्ष्य भी है। खुद को जानने की उत्कट अभिलाषा से ही व्यक्ति के आध्यात्मिक यात्रा की शुरुआत होती है, जो अंततोगत्वा उसे पूर्णता की राह पर ले जाती है। इसी खुद की खोज की दिशा में ये काव्यसंग्रह "कस्तूरी कुंडल बसे" एक छोटा सा प्रयास है।

पिछले एक वर्ष से हमारा देश कोरोना नामक संक्रामक रोग से जूझ रहा है। इसने हमारे स्वास्थ्य ही नहीं, हमारी दिनचर्या, हमारे संबंधो, हमारी प्रतिदिन की 'उड़ान' को बहुत प्रभावित किया है। बाजार सूने हैं, जबकि अस्पताल और श्मशान घाट जीवित और मुर्दों से पटे पड़े हैं। डॉ मुकेश अग्रवाल ने अपने इस कविता-संग्रह में कोरोना के सभी पक्षों को तुकबंदी के साथ सामने लाने का उपयोगी प्रयास किया है। बच्चों, युवा पीढ़ी, वृद्धों पर कोरोना के प्रभावों को सरल-सहज भाषा में उकेरा गया है। इस विकट काल में कवि हमे सावधान भी करता है और समाधान भी सुझाता है। कोरोना काल में डाक्टरों और प्रशासन की भूमिका, मजदूर वर्ग की परेशानियाँ, कोरोना काल में इटली द्वारा स्थापित आदर्श प्रबंधन आदि का कवि ने संतुलित चित्रण किया है। इनके अतिरिक्त इस वर्ष की अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय प्रमुख गतिविधियों को भी उकेरा है। इनमें चीन की विस्तारवादी नीति, अमेरिका की रंग भेद की नीति, युद्ध आदि का विरोध किया है। युद्ध किसी भी समस्या का समाधान नहीं है।

युद्ध कोई हो जीवन का,

केवल विनाश ही लाता है।

कवि कोरोना-काल में जीने के नए मार्ग सुझाता है, जो प्रशंसनीय है। आशा है, पाठक इस कृति को भी भरपूर स्नेह देंगें। कवि मुकेश अग्रवाल की कलम इसी तरह चलती रहे, नई-नई मंजिलें छूती रहे - ऐसी शुभ कामना करता हूँ।
