Arkalgud Padmanabha has led a fulfilling life, facing a Naxal threat, handling labour issues at ITC, and traveling the world, even reaching Antarctica at 74. Born in Bangalore in 1936, Padmanabha graduated in science and law, then completed post-graduation in social research from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
