அருட்பணி. வில்லியம் கௌடி, 21ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் இளைய தலைமுறைக்கு 18ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் இறுதியில் இந்தியாவிற்கு மிஷனரியாக வந்த ஒரு ஸ்காட்லாந்து இளைஞனின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றை, புகைப்பட வரலாற்று புத்தகமாக (Photo biography) படைப்பதில் பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி, இந்த இளைஞனுக்கும் தமிழகத்தில் இருக்கும் தலித் மக்களுக்குமான உறவு, ஒரு தகப்பன் பிள்ளைக்குமான உறவிலும் மேலானது. உயர்குல மக்களால் அடிமைப்பட்டு கிடந்த ஆயிரக்கணக்கான தலித் மக்களுக்கு வாழ்வளித்து அவர்களின் எதிர்கால தலைமுறையினரை தலைநிமிரும்படி செய்தவர் கௌடி. அவரது வாழ்க்கை வரலாறு இன்றய இளைய தலைமுறைக்கு படிப்பினையாகவும், நமது வாழ்க்கைக்கு மிகவும் அத்தியாவசியமானதாய் இருக்கிறது. உண்மையான பிரார்த்தனைக்கு கடவுளிடமிருந்து நிச்சயம் பதில் உண்டு. 1848இல் ஒரு வெஸ்லியன் மெத்தடிஸ்ட் மிஷனரி திருவள்ளூருக்கு பயணம் மேற்கொண்டு அவ்வூர் மக்களை கண்டார். அவர்களோ விக்கிரக வழிபாட்டில் திளைத்திருக்கிறதை கண்டு மனதில் துயருற்று கடவுளிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தார், அதுமட்டுமின்றி அந்நாட்களில் வெளிவந்த வெஸ்லியன் மாத இதழில், வாசகர்களை பிரார்த்தனை செய்யும்படி கீழ்கண்ட செய்தியுடன் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார், "ஆகையால் அவ்வூர் மக்கள் கடவுளை அறிந்து கொண்டு சீக்கிரமாய் இரட்சிப்படையவும் அம்மக்களுக்கு கடவுளின் சுவிசேஷத்தை சீக்கிரமாய் கொண்டு செல்லவும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிருஸ்துவினிடம் ஜெபம் பண்ணுங்கள்." அவர் ஜெபித்த ஒருசில ஆண்டுகளிலேயே கடவுளிடமிருந்து பதில் கிடைத்தது, அருட்பணி. வில்லியம் கௌடியின் மூலமாக மிகப்பெரிய மிஷனரி பணித்தளம் திருவள்ளூரில் உருவானது.

There is always an answer from God for a sincere prayer. In 1848, a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary visited Tiruvallur and its people; he trembled at his heart by seeing the idol worships, prayed to God sincerely for them and requested the readers to pray through a Wesleyan journal,

"let us hasten, then, to send them the Gospel, that they may be instructed in the way of salvation, pray to Christ to save them." followed by his prayer.

A numismatist, in his school days made him to think about the greatness of history. Hobby made him to do research, that research started from his hometown and the result is this Book. Boring IT Professional turned happy author. He is passionate about Mission history, Music and IT Consulting.
 
Rev. William Goudie inspired him a lot, not just because he came to his town from UK, but also his dedication in the Young age to take the Gospel to foreign land as Missionary. In 2011, Daniel did a project on William Goudie's Mission work with SOAS Department, University of London that made him to do more research on Goudie's mission work in India especially at Ikkadu. So his first book is for Rev. William Goudie.
 
Daniel is a Youth Leader in his Church; started his career in ministry as Sunday school teacher, VBS Director and taught Gospel to children and youth for 15 years with Church of South India. He is a Drama Director, Script writer, Gospel Musician and Web developer. He guides Teen and Youth for their career Path and encourages them to lead Godly life by giving trainings and workshops.
