Malkiat Singh Lakha

Born and brought up in a small village in Punjab (India), Malkiat Singh Lakha graduated in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering with an excellent academic record. After serving the Indian Railways for 34 years, he retired as Principal Chief Engineer and is now settled in Jalandhar. So, it’s a perfect choice of writing on the subject of railways. Born and brought up in a small village in Punjab (India), Malkiat Singh Lakha graduated in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering with an excellent academic record. After serving the Indian Railways for 34 years, he retired as Principal Chief Engineer and is now settled in Jalandhar. So, it’s a perfect choice of writing on the subject of railways. 
After his first book Meri Phulwari (My Bouquet) in the Punjabi language, this is his second contribution to children’s literature in Punjabi and Hindi. Apart from publication of articles in the railway’s in-house magazines, he also has to his credit a technical book on the construction of a steel bridge.  
He takes an interest in social work and writing is his hobby.
