Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalSatyendra is resident of USA. He did his BSc (1963) from Government College, Ajmer, MA in Economics (1969) with the first position in the University of Rajasthan. He taught 10 years in the Department of Economics, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur before availing Fulbright Scholarship in 1979 and finishing his PhD in Economics from University of Maryland, USA. He taught in the Department of Consumer Economics a few years, worked at The World Bank a few years, and then retired in 2012 after having served 20 years as a Senior Research Advisor at the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)Read More...
Satyendra is resident of USA. He did his BSc (1963) from Government College, Ajmer, MA in Economics (1969) with the first position in the University of Rajasthan. He taught 10 years in the Department of Economics, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur before availing Fulbright Scholarship in 1979 and finishing his PhD in Economics from University of Maryland, USA. He taught in the Department of Consumer Economics a few years, worked at The World Bank a few years, and then retired in 2012 after having served 20 years as a Senior Research Advisor at the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), Washington DC. Even after his retirement, he continued teaching at University of Maryland as an Adjunct Professor until 2020-21.
Satyendra’s wife Mrs. Shashi Verma holds MA (Economics) and MA (Music, Vocal) degrees and has been teaching and giving lecture-demonstrations on North Indian Classical music from 1981 to date; she is well-known musicologist in the Washington-Maryland metropolitan area. Satyendra’s daughter, Aastha Verma, is a senior government official, and his son, Kushagra, is a Spine Surgeon in Los Angeles married to Katie Osley, a Dermatologist. They have two grandchildren, Clara and Devin.
Although, Hindi was not his prime subject, Satyendra has a passion for writing poems in Hindi in AKAVITA format. These poems are based on his pure imagination and bears no connection with any individual.

ये अदृश्य प्रेम की एक मात्र परिकल्पना है. इसका सम्बंद व्यक्ति विशेष से नहीं है| इनका सृजन मन की विभिन्न भावनाओं की अनुभूति का एक प्रतीक है| यूं तो शायद जीवन में सभी कुछ नियति "Destiny" क
ये अदृश्य प्रेम की एक मात्र परिकल्पना है. इसका सम्बंद व्यक्ति विशेष से नहीं है| इनका सृजन मन की विभिन्न भावनाओं की अनुभूति का एक प्रतीक है| यूं तो शायद जीवन में सभी कुछ नियति "Destiny" के अनुकूल ही होता होगा, किन्तु जब वो किसी के साथ घटित होता है तो लगता है उसमे कितनी प्रतिकूलता, कितनी निराशा, कितने अधूरे सपने हैं, जैसे कोई अपना बिछुड़ गया हो… और ये जीवन के विभिन्न पड़ाव में शायद सभी ने अनुभव किया होगा|
हिंदी प्रमुख विषय न होते हुए भी सत्येंद्र को हिंदी में अकविता लिखने का शौक है जिनका सृजन एक मात्र कल्पना पर आधारित है| इन कविताओं का किसी व्यक्ति विशेष से सम्बन्ध नहीं है|
