A teacher by profession and a writer by temperament, Dr. Arnab Chatterjee is a Faculty , Centre for Distance and Online Education , Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He has been associated with Poets Foundation, Kolkata-19 for over a decade and a half, being its Honorary Assistant Secretary for a brief period of time and one of its valued authors that brought out his first books: In Desolate Dwellings, Residence Beneath the Earth and the long narrative poem The Wind in the Abyss, that is part of The Reflections Trilogy. A teacher by profession and a writer by temperament, Dr. Arnab Chatterjee is a Faculty , Centre for Distance and Online Education , Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He has been associated with Poets Foundation, Kolkata-19 for over a decade and a half, being its Honorary Assistant Secretary for a brief period of time and one of its valued authors that brought out his first books: In Desolate Dwellings, Residence Beneath the Earth and the long narrative poem The Wind in the Abyss, that is part of The Reflections Trilogy. He was with the Department of English & Culture Studies, The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India both as a Junior Research, and later, a Senior Research Fellow after having availed the grant from the UGC, New Delhi to further his PhD research on Afro-American literature. An alumnus of St. Xavier’s College, as well as Presidency College, Kolkata, his name appears in the prestigious Who’s Who of Indian Writers Writing in English (ISBN: 978-81-260-4812-0), a nation-wide record of writers compiled by The Sahitya Akademi, the National Academy of Letters of India. He has already penned over 10 volumes of poetry, some of which have been published and others awaiting publication. With a teaching career spanning around 12 years and an authorship of over 40 plus scholarly research papers, he has taught both in the conventional as well as in the ODL (Open & Distance Learning) modes of education and presented papers in national and international seminars and conferences. His hobbies include listening to music, academic research, writing and travelling. His book Language Across the Curriculum: A Sourcebook for Student-Teachers (ISBN: 978-81-934600-5-4) has been much appreciated within the academic circles in West Bengal and beyond. Recently, he has completed a verse re-telling of the epic The Mahabharata from the point of view of minor characters and incidents.
