He is passionate about the written word, with freshness of depiction enriching the splendour of Assamese poetry, through ten volumes of verse during forty years of creating his own world within.
The translated version of his latest anthology of Assamese poetry ‘Adrishya Drishyaman’, Invisible visible is imbued with verses depicting the interior landscape of a humanist where all that was invisible becomes visible with words. He narrates the demise of a mother in fifty two separate and distinct poems, which capture the moments of a beloved mother ‘like a painter’ with the grandeur of Assamese culture in a rare manner.
