In my experience of working with entrepreneurs on various aspects, I found that while they were quick to visualise the implications of financial decisions on the profits of their business firms, it was my opinion that a deeper understanding of the basic financial concepts would make them more proficient in financial management of their business firms. This prompted me to write this book to help those entrepreneurs who would like to gain an understanding of the basic financial concepts.
This book discusses all the basic financial concepts in as simple a manner as possible. It will be useful not only for entrepreneurs but also to anyone else interested in learning the basics of finance. The book discusses all those basic financial concepts that I felt was important to an entrepreneur.

Ravi Sankar is a passionate teacher and a trainer. In his career of more than four decades, he has had the opportunity to work with some of the best industrial groups in the country and teach as a visiting faculty in a few of the highly respected and well-known management institutes. He loves engaging with students and helping them bring out their best. The executives whom he has trained love his method of simplifying even complex subjects and relating the topics to their areas of work.
He is a commerce graduate with a postgraduate degree in management systems. He is also a cost and management accountant and a company secretary. His love for teaching led him to earn his doctorate when he was in his 50s.
This is his second book. His previous book titled Statistics made really easy for Business Analytics has been well received.
