Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh Pal"The best things in life are free, but sooner or later the government will find a way to tax them."
Indirect taxes such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) are paid by every human on their stepping in the process of the day-to-day routine. The introduction of GST has changed the landscape of fiscal federalism in India. It has charted out a new course for Union-State fiscal relations, signifying the spirit of cooperative federalism. The new tax is contributing to making India a flawless national market, elevating trade and industry. This ensures facilitating administration and improved compliance and collection of taxes on the supply of goods and services.
The book encapsulates the GST Acts focusing upon the broad areas like basic concepts, components, input tax credit, E-way bill and other aspects of GST. It resolves them in a simple, lucid and universal language to a section of readers including teachers and students of economics, commerce, law, public administration, business management and chartered accountancy. The textbook is incorporated with the latest amendments, several charts and illustrations have also been consolidated for easy learning and understanding of the subject.
The students/readers are expected to enhance their perceptive knowledge and involvement in capacity building initiatives. It is thus expected of the students/readers to be regularly updated on the developments taking place under GST law from cbic.gov.in.
